Michael stands as a preeminent figure in the realm of Bwiti N’ganga, mentored by the venerable Moughenda, a 10th generation Nima or esteemed high shaman. Renowned internationally, Michael's profound expertise extends over a decade, marked by his leadership and guidance in over a thousand Iboga Ceremonies and retreats across diverse locations, including Gabon, Africa, Costa Rica, Trinidad & Tobago, Mexico, Nicaragua and across Canada.

Moughenda Mikela

10th Generation Missoko Bwiti Shaman

Moughenda is a 10th generation Missoko Bwiti Shaman.  He started ingesting Iboga while in utero during his mother’s pregnancy, and started apprenticing as a shaman under his Maternal Grandfather while he was still a child.  After decades of intensive training, apprenticeship, and going through many initiations, Moughenda took the role of lead shaman in his community.

Monica loves communicating with you (even at odd hours!) and supporting you in this important part of your journey. She is based in Toronto, Canada, but as a Bwiti initiate, she enjoys creating space in her schedule to assist hands-on and face-to-face during retreats as well.
