The doctors who screen you, watch over every ceremony, and guide it. You always know who is in charge of your safety.
You've done the work. The therapy, the medication, the optimization. Your labs say you're fine. You know you're not. Longevity clinics have the science and no soul. Iboga retreats have the soul and no safety net. Bwiti Life offers the best of both worlds: ancestral ceremony and 24/7 medical care, in one place.
Measures and optimized the body. The soul is left untouched
Heals the soul. The body goes unmeasured, before and after.
The best of both worlds.

Diagnostic
We map who you actually are. 110+ biomarkers, your brain, your heart, your sleep. One honest starting point, so every change afterward is a fact, not a feeling.
Not a report you read once. Every signal feeds one living model of you. Your twin re-computes every marker from your real data. See where you're heading, and what changes if you act.
110+ biomarkers across 11 body systems, drawn before you travel and read by a physician: hormones, inflammation, metabolic and cardiac markers, micronutrients. Not a range on a lab sheet, but where you stand and what it means for the ceremony and for the months after.
At the center, the same measurements every day: blood pressure, heart rate and heart-rate variability, weight and body composition, a six-lead ECG. The same measure taken again and again turns a snapshot into a trend.
A qEEG brain map before and after the retreat shows how your brain actually works: where activity is over- or under-active, how it regulates stress and sleep. Your practitioners read it, and so do you.
The retreat
Seven days on the Mayan Riviera near Cancun, Mexico. The depth of an ancestral tradition, held to the standards of a clinic, at the same time, in the same room.
Iboga ceremonies held by traditional practitioners trained in Gabon by Moughenda Mikala, a tenth-generation Missoko Bwiti shaman and founder of Bwiti House, in a healing tradition carried across generations. Missoko Bwiti Music and sacred Songs accompany the ceremony all night, in the rhythms practitioners say guide the traveler; trained providers watch every hour.
Vitals, ECG, sleep and stress markers are recorded before the first ceremony and after the last one. What changed is written down, so integration builds on facts rather than impressions.
A private center in the jungle on the Mayan Riviera near Cancun, Mexico, twenty minutes from Cancún airport: seven private rooms, a cenote-fed pool, a fire circle and a dining palapa. Small groups, never dormitories.
A physician is on site 24/7. Continuous cardiac telemetry during ceremonies, IV access placed before any dose, and IV fluids, electrolytes, magnesium and vitamins given according to each guest's needs. We can stop at any time.
The clinic
Seven private rooms, a cenote-fed pool, a fire circle and a dining palapa in the jungle, twenty minutes from Cancún airport. The ceremonies, the medical station and your bed are all in the same garden. Discover the center
Activites
Events and activites will provide support, motivation, and a sense of community to help sustain new habits.
A quiet place made for healing: the pool fed by the cenote, the garden, the fire circle under the trees. Between ceremonies you rest, swim and let the calm of the jungle do part of the work.
Massages relax your muscles and improve blood flow, easing tension and promoting healing. They help reduce stress and leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Discussions open the door to new ideas and perspectives. They help us understand different viewpoints and find better solutions together.
Continued care
What happens on the Mayan Riviera near Cancun, Mexico shouldn't stay a memory. For three months, medical follow-up turns what you feel into what your data shows.
Nutrition, training and supplementation, re-tuned to your data week after week. You even learn to cook for your 11 body systems, an education you keep for life.
Every week for three months, a call with your medical team or counselor: your wearable data, your goals, what to adjust. Video or audio, at the time you choose.
Why the numbers move: it starts in ceremony, not in a spreadsheet.
You see your patterns from the outside: where the stress comes from, what you have been running from, and that you are worth taking care of.
Toxic habits lose their grip: alcohol, sugar, overwork, the phone at 2 am. Sleep, movement, real food and self-respect take their place, with a plan and weekly calls.
Within three months the body shows it: stress down, heart-rate variability up, weight and cholesterol down, deeper sleep. You feel it first; then you can measure it.

Testimonials
I arrived with an anxiety I had carried for twelve years and a list of medications. Four months later my baseline is calm, and my data shows it.
After two tours I had tried therapy, EMDR and every supplement on the market. The ceremony gave me back the night. The doctor followed my heart monitor the whole time, and the integration calls afterwards are what made it last.
I did not come for a miracle. I came because nothing else had moved the weight. The care was clinical without being cold: bloodwork before, vitals during, a real plan after. I have not felt this steady in years.
I was a founder running on four hours of sleep and cortisol. The diagnostic showed me what my body was actually doing. Seven days on the Mayan Riviera near Cancun, Mexico, then three months of weekly calls, and I sleep, eat and think like a person again.
I lost my mother and then myself. The providers held the ceremony with a respect I did not expect, and the medical team never left. I grieved properly for the first time. The follow-up calls helped me carry it home.
What convinced me was the honesty: they declined a friend of mine because of his heart. When I was cleared, I trusted every step. The biomarkers before and after are the proof I needed, not just a feeling.
Ten years of broken sleep, every clinic, every app. The retreat reset something the trackers can now measure. My sleep score doubled, and the counselors still check in on my goals every week.
I came terrified of the ceremony itself. The panic attacks stopped. Two months on, they have not come back.

FAQ
About Bwiti retreat, medical assistance and the ceremonies. If you have any other question, feel free to book a call with the team.
Our medically supervised iboga retreat includes comprehensive pre-screening, 24/7 medical monitoring by licensed professionals, and strict adherence to clinical protocols. Your well-being is our highest priority.
Adults who pass our medical and psychological screening. Iboga affects the heart, so every applicant goes through an ECG review, a full medication check, a psychiatric review and a cardiologist's sign-off. Some heart conditions, some psychiatric diagnoses and some medications rule participation out. About a third of applicants are declined; if it is not safe for you, we will tell you.
It depends on the medication. Several common ones, including some antidepressants, heart medications and opioids, interact with iboga and must be reviewed before any date is confirmed. Send us your complete list during the application. Never stop or change a medication on your own: if a taper is needed, our physician builds it with your prescriber.
Ground transportation between Cancún airport and the center, seven days of accommodation and meals, two traditional Bwiti iboga ceremonies (four on the two-week program), full medical intake and daily vitals, 24/7 physician presence, electrolyte and magnesium support when needed, one preparation call and four integration calls. Flights and travel insurance are not included.
Before you are cleared, our medical team asks for five pre-diagnostic tests, done with your own doctor or lab:
Our cardiologist reviews the results with your history and medication list before any date is confirmed.
In the two weeks before you travel: no alcohol or recreational drugs, a simple diet with plenty of water, and rest. Your preparation call sets your intentions and answers the practical questions; the medical team may add instructions specific to you.
Four integration calls are included after every retreat (one right after, then one at the start of each month for three months), and the three-month continued-care program adds weekly consults, proactive alerts from your wearable data and a living plan for nutrition, training and sleep. Beyond that, alumni can book video or audio calls with our counselors and traditional iboga providers at $100 an hour.
Both come from the root bark of Tabernanthe iboga, a shrub native to the rainforests of Gabon. Ibogaine is a single alkaloid isolated from that bark and used mostly in clinics for substance-use disorders. Iboga, the whole root bark used in Bwiti ceremonies, carries the full spectrum of alkaloids and is worked with for a broader range of mental, emotional and spiritual questions.
We work with the traditional root bark inside a Bwiti ceremony, and we add what a clinic would: pre-arrival screening, a 12-lead ECG, magnesium and electrolytes, and a physician on site through the night. Read the ultimate guide to iboga.
Small. The center has seven rooms, private or shared, and a retreat never exceeds eight guests. Each ceremony is held by a lead practitioner graduated from the Bwiti House Iboga Provider Training Program in Gabon, with assistants and the medical team present. That ratio is what makes personalised counsel, close monitoring and a calm room possible.
Iboga is well tolerated by most healthy adults when the medicine is pure, the dose is set by a trained practitioner and the setting is medically supervised. It is not safe for everyone: cardiovascular disease, liver disease and several medications or substances can make it dangerous. That is why screening comes first: CBC, CMP, serum magnesium, a liver function panel, a 12-lead ECG and a full medication review, all reviewed by our physician before a date is confirmed.
If you are using drugs or alcohol daily, tell us: a detox needs a specific clinical protocol and we will advise you honestly on whether our program is the right place for it. More answers for first timers.
Yes. Your medical records are handled as clinical records and are never shared without your written consent. Groups are small and run on a first-name basis, no photographs are taken during ceremonies, and we only publish a testimonial if you ask us to.
