How big are the groups in an Iboga Ceremony?
This will vary depending on the type of ceremony and the extent of the training of the Nima (Bwiti Shaman) or Nganga (Bwiti Healer and iboga provider) that is leading the ceremony. For example, in Gabon, in a traditional Bwiti Temple, the groups maybe much larger.
At Bwiti Life, all providers assisting Moughenda during retreats have received sacred rites from the Bwiti Missoko Tribe in the Gabonese jungle and the medicine itself, ensuring they can safely and ethically guide up to 5 first-time participants through our psycho-spiritual ceremonies.
Groups generally range from 4-10 participants under the care of one trained Provider and at least two assistants.
The provider directory on Bwiti House guarantees that each listed provider is a qualified graduate, equipped with the knowledge and expertise to safely conduct iboga ceremonies, perform medical safety procedures, and offer effective counseling, all validated by Moughenda Mikala, a 10th Generation Missoko Bwiti Shaman.
This more intimate group setting allows for greater personalized attention, counsel, and care from your Providers. It also allows for a safer, more comfortable experience.
